Eight Point Diamond Star
61309Pr Eight Point Diamond Star Rose, cream 500.00
72" x 84" 1930s, Fountain Co., IN; made by Ruth (Ingersoll) Muns (ca. 1910-1992) or her mother. Beautifully pieced 8-point diamond stars in cream are set with plain rose to form 6-1/2" blocks, which are set alternately with squares of plain rose to form the design area. The design area is bordered by a 7" rose border, and the applied binding is rose over a natural cream back. Beautifully hand pieced and joined, excellently hand quilted in outline around the diamonds with lattice filling the background of the pattern blocks. There is 1" diamond lattice in the plain squares, and the borders have 1" square lattice on the diagonal Unwashed and unused; excellent condition.
